When is the best time of year to visit Flathead Lake?

It is also the season for Glacier National Park, 45 minutes away, and for the Flathead's three forks, 30 minutes away, which run everything from a scenic float to Class II-IV whitewater.
Winter: the mountain, then the pool
Yes. The pool is heated and open year-round, and the hot tub runs all season as well. Guests ski at Blacktail or Whitefish during the day and swim in the evening through the winter.
Blacktail Mountain is the locals' hill and the closest lift-served skiing to the estate, 20 minutes up the road, with the lake visible from the summit. Whitefish Mountain Resort is 35 minutes. The Flathead Alpine Coaster, 20 minutes away, runs all year and after dark.
